PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently execute printing, when printing print data transmitted from a digital camera by a printer.

SOLUTION: This printing system has: the printer 303 receiving and printing the print data; a personal computer 302 receiving the print data, and capable of transmitting a plurality of pieces of print data while spooling them; and the digital camera 301 capable of transmitting the print data. The digital camera 301 transmits the print data to the personal computer 302 when the personal computer 302 can receive the print data, and directly transmits the print data to the printer 303 when the personal computer 302 cannot receive the print data.
