<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image free from margins even in the case paper obliquely runs at the time of performing frame-less printing where margins are not formed in the edges of the paper in the case of transferring the image to the paper, as for an image forming apparatus such as an LBP (laser beam printer) and a copier, using an electrophotographic technology. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, equipped with a detecting means for detecting the positional deviation of the carried sheet and a correcting means for correcting the irradiation position of a scanning line, the image forming apparatus is provided with a control means for correcting the irradiation position of the scanning line based on the detection result of the position detecting means, and also, controlling an image writing position. Then, such a problem is eliminated that the margin parts are formed at the edges of the paper when the paper is printed and outputted in the case the recording paper is obliquely carried at frame-less printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
