<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture catcher capable of suppressing the formation and growth of a dark spot and easily performing drying processing by a photopolymerization process, and to provide an organic EL element provided with the moisture catcher as a drying means. <P>SOLUTION: The moisture catcher contains a compound shown by the formula, wherein R and R' contain at least one unsaturated bond independently to each other and are hydrogen, substituents of either one of an alkyl group, aryl group, cyclo-alkyl group, alkoxide group, acyl group and heterocyclic group of one or more carbon numbers or substituents in which at least one part of the hydrogens of the groups is substituted with a halogen element, and the center metal M is a metal of coordination number 6. By using the moisture catcher for an organic EL element, the process of manufacturing the organic EL element is simplified, at the same time, the formation and growth of the dark spot as non-emission part is suppressed and the life of the organic EL element is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
