EXHAUST GAS CLEANING FILTER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas cleaning filter in which a particulate substance in the exhaust gas from a diesel engine can be burned at low temperature and the pressure loss of which can be restrained from being increased.

SOLUTION: This exhaust gas cleaning filter is a wall flow type honeycombed filter consisting of a porous sintered compact of electrically conductive silicon carbide for collecting, burning and removing the particulate substance in the exhaust gas from the diesel engine. The surface of a particle of the silicon carbide constituting the porous sintered compact is coated with a layer consisting of a metallic component and an inorganic oxide.
