PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the complicated structure of an entire device caused by the necessity of the operation driving source of a shroud or a clamp, a controller for setting synchronism therebetween and a cassette positioning means. SOLUTION: The device for testing the disk or the head is provided with a disk attaching means, an opened/closed shroud for covering the disk attaching means, a clamp for holding a cassette having the head attached thereto, a rotatable stage having the lamp mounted thereon, and a stage driving means for applying a driving force to the stage. In this case, the stage is provided with a shroud driving force transmitting means for transmitting the driving force to the shroud, and a clamp driving force transmitting means for transmitting the driving force to the clamp.
