PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hatch cover device capable of obtaining a wide hatch opening part in the open/close structure of the hatch cover which laterally moves to open the hatch opening part. SOLUTION: Partial covers 21L, 21R of the hatch cover 21 for closing the hatch opening part 11 are bendably connected to form the hatch cover device 20. The hatch cover device 20 comprises a driving mechanism 30 for driving and folding the hatch cover 21 and fixing devices 40 for independently fixing the four corners. When an arbitrary side of the cover fixed by the fixing devices 40L is released and the driving mechanism 30 is operated, the hatch cover 21 is folded and stands up using the side edge of the fixed side as a fulcrum for opening the hatch opening part 11.
