PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive control device for a four wheel drive vehicle capable of sufficiently demonstrating the performance of the four wheel drive. SOLUTION: The drive control device for the four wheel drive vehicle comprises main sensors 31 and 32 to detect main information on the vehicle state which is the wheel speed or the throttle opening, sub sensors 33-35 to detect sub information of the vehicle state which is the steering angle, the yaw rate or the gravity in the right-to-left direction, a sub sensor abnormality detection unit 45 to detect abnormality of the sub sensors 33-35, and an abnormality processing unit 46. The abnormality processing unit 46 switches the variable control (first variable control) to be performed considering the sub sensors 33-35 when the sub sensors 33-35 are in a normal state and the variable control (second variable control) to be performed without considering the output signal of the sub sensors 33-35 when the sub sensors 33-35 are in an abnormal state. Therefore, even when the sub sensors 33-35 are in an abnormal state, the four wheel drive control can be performed only by the main sensors 31 and 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
