PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR system for performing recirculation of exhaust gas with reliability. SOLUTION: The EGR system is provided with an exhaust-gas junction pipe 18 for partly returning exhaust gas G let out from an exhaust manifold 6 of an engine 1 to a suction pipe 12 connected to an intake gas manifold 13. A bent part 19 is formed in the junction pipe 18, an EGR valve 16 is placed in a part downstream of the bent part 19 of the junction pipe 18, so that the valve element conducts the exhaust gas G in the direction downstream of the pipe 12. The valve element of the EGR valve 16 conducts the exhaust gas G to the downstream of the suction pipe 12.
