PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nail clipper which is free from the failure of overcutting the nails for the babies. SOLUTION: Edges 3 of the nail clipper are so arranged as to accomplish the work of cutting the nails without contacting the skin under the nails. In the structure, to prevent the overcutting of the nails, the upper end part 5 of a prevention frame 4 is set higher than the surface of the edge 3 while the edge 3 is secured inside the prevention frame 4 to let the nails be cut with the edge 3 thus positioned internally. When the nail clipper is put under the nails, the prevention frame 4 and the upper end part 5 thereof are allowed to contact the skin under the nails while the edge 3 is positioned so as not to contact the skin. This keeps the edge 3 from contacting the skin even during the cutting, thereby preventing the overcutting of the nails. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
