[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An information recording/reproducing device (SR) that records a plurality of TSs received from an external device onto a hard disk (HD) comprises a recording unit (2) that records TSs on the hard disk HD; a microcomputer unit (23) that detects the recording time of each recorded TS, checks if the detected recording time is equal to or longer than a preset threshold time and, generates management information indicating that the TS whose recording times are equal to or longer than the threshold time are recorded on the hard disk (HD); and a recording unit (2) that records the generated management information on the hard disk (HD) separately from the TSs.
