<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell wherein battery characteristics of each cell are made uniform and high in output, and a high efficiency and reduced size cell stacked structure is achieved, while inhibiting deterioration in the battery characteristics due to aging. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell includes a cell stack (3) which is formed by stacking a plurality of cells (1), each of which includes a negative electrode (11) and a positive electrode (12), arranged so as to be opposed to each other interposing an electrolyte membrane (10) therebetween. An inter-cell clearance (51) is formed between the cells (1), and oxygen feed holes (50) for feeding oxygen in the atmosphere are formed in a cathode side separator (2-1) on the positive electrode (12) side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
