PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device that has a structure suitable for miniaturization and that has good power generating efficiency, in a charging device in which piezoelectric elements are used. SOLUTION: Inside a casing 11 stores a secondary battery 14. The piezoelectric elements 12 are polarized in thickness direction, and can be deformed having softness in the thickness direction. A rectifying and smoothing circuit 13 is for rectifying and smoothing the electromotive voltage of the piezoelectric elements, and for charging the secondary battery with the smoothed output. In addition, the front and back surfaces of the interior portions of the casing where at least the piezoelectric elements are mounted has a deformable structure (for example, formation of multiple recessed and protruding portions 11a).
