OPTICAL RECEPTACLE AND OPTICAL MODULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receptacle having excellent characteristics of pulling in and out a ferrule and hardly allowing a stab to drop. SOLUTION: The optical receptacle 1 comprises a stab 2, a first sleeve 4, a second sleeve 6 and a third sleeve 8. The stab 2 comprises a first part 2d and a second part 2e successively assembled along a specified axial direction. The first part 2d is pressed and fitted into the first sleeve 4. The second sleeve 6 is a cylindrical member longitudinal in the direction of the specified axis X and has a stab fitting part 6a and a ferrule fitting part 6a. The second part 2e is fitted to the stab fitting part 6a. A ferrule holding an optical fiber is inserted into the open end of the ferrule fitting part 6b and fitted to the ferrule fitting part 6b. The third sleeve 8 has a cylindrical form longitudinal in the direction of the specified axis X. The first sleeve 4 is pressed and fitted to the inner hole at the base end of the third sleeve 8 so as to cover the second sleeve 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
