PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a percussion tool whose head 5 does not fall even if a rod 3 of the percussion tool is broken. SOLUTION: The percussion tool 1 is provided with the hollow rod 3, a spherical head 5 attached at one end of the rod 3, a grip 7 located at the other end of the rod 3 and a cord 9 for connecting the head 5 and the grip 7 through the rod 3. The rod 3 comprises a nested telescopic pipe P, and the cord 9 is preferably pulled out from and connected to a reel 13 for automatically winding. The maximum length of the cord 9 pulled out from the percussion tool 1 is a length of the retractable rod 3 or more. The grip 7 is preferably covered with a grip cover 17 different from one of the rod 3. The head 5 does not fall even if the rod 3 is broken by an impact. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
