PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen rack capable of allowing the information about a specimen and the position of the specimen in the speciment rack for making them easily correspond to each other. SOLUTION: The specimen rack 2 is equipped with housing parts 4, each of which houses a plurality of specimen containers having IC tags for storing the data of the specimens. A position number, indicating the position in the specimen rack 2, is applied to each of the housing parts 4. Each of antennae 6, receiving the data of the specimen stored in each IC tag, is arranged at the bottom of each housing part 4. The antenna 6 is connected to the R/W 8 of the IC tag, and the data of the specimen is read by the IC tag R/W 8 via each antenna 6. In this specimen rack 2, when the specimen container having the IC tag storing the data of the specimen is housed in each housing part 4, the information about the specimen stored in the IC tag possessed by the housed specimen container is read by the IC tag R/W 8 via the antenna 6 arranged to the housing part 4, in which the specimen container is housed, to make the data of the specimen correspond to the position of the specimen in the specimen rack 2.
