PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing trifluoroiodomethane at a low cost, which can industrially be performed. SOLUTION: This method for producing the trifluoroiodomethane, comprising reacting trifluoromethane with iodine in the presence of a solid catalyst, is characterized by reacting the trifluoromethane with the iodine in a gas phase, while moving the solid catalyst in a reactor.
