PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load support hoisting device capable of easily replacing a wire without large-scale equipment such as a crane, and to provide a wire replacing method. SOLUTION: A load support is locked on a vehicle body side in a vertical storage state, and a wire maintenance hole 2g is provided on a side wall of a column (strut) 2 adjacent to a connecting portion of the wire 15 and a slider 3 in a state that the connecting portion is in a predetermined position. A movable end 15b of the wire 15 of which tension is loosed is pulled from the maintenance hole 2g, and connection with the slider 3 is released. The same is done with the other column 2.
