PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device capable of preventing a damage to a nozzle caused by the contact of the nozzle with a carriage when attaching a head part to the carriage. SOLUTION: In attaching the head part to the carriage 100, height difference such as a protruded portion 110, a recessed portion, a slant portion or the like is provided to the upper portion of the front plate 101 or the like facing the nozzle of the head part in the peripheral part of an opening part.
