An ink store for ink jet printer is joined via a hose to the printing head and has a trough/tank which additional has on the inner face of the floor, channels/ducts for conveyance of ink and is provided with an aperture in the floor for filling and off-take of ink, and has a cover which tightly seals the trough up to a filling aperture at the top. The ink is stored in capillary gaps (17) which are produced by the adjacent surfaces (15) of the capillary-forming walls (14).
