<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interest degree predicting apparatus whereby objects in which a person on board is interested can be predicted based on his/her viewing line. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a map memory 201 which stores a plan view of a library where a guiding apparatus moves, a position detecting unit 102 which detects the current position of the guiding apparatus based on the data measured by a laser range finder 2, a gazed point identifying unit 103 which identifies an object point the person on board is looking at, a gaze degree calculating unit 104 which calculates how much gaze he/she has in the object point, a gazed object predicting unit 105 which identifies which object is being gazed based on the gaze degree, a travel control unit 106 which moves the guiding apparatus nearer to the gazed object, and a voice output unit 107 which gives the information on the gazed object through a voice. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
