<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device capable of certainly cutting roll-shaped recording material, without getting a moving blade under a fixed blade. <P>SOLUTION: A cutting edge 15A of a rotary disk blade is moved to a position over a polishing surface B of the fixed blade 15 so as to overlap each other, and overlap length L1 of the rotary disk blade 15 in regard to the fixed blade 13 is set to be 1.5 mm. In the fixed blade 13 and the rotary disk blade 15, angles between the polishing surfaces 13B, 15B and a reference surface is set to be 45°.
