PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage rack for spent fuel with a small deformation by welding and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: Austenic stainless steel containing boron in 0.6 to 1.0 wt.% is used for a storage rack material for spent fuel. The storage rack is assembled by welding using a two-phased stainless steel alloy filler metal containing C in 0.03 wt.% or less, Si below 0.5 wt.%, Mn of 0.2 to 1 wt.%, Ni in 8 to 12 wt.%, Cr in 22 to 30 wt.%, Mo in 2 to 3 wt.%, Ti in 1 to 3 wt.%, and the sum of S and P in 0.03 wt.% or less. It is desirable to form a deposit metal consisting of a two-phased stainless steel alloy with C in 0.03 wt.% or less, Ni in 8 to 12 wt.%, Cr in 22 to 30 wt.%, Mo in 2 to 3 wt.%, Ti in 1 to 3 wt.%, B in 0.4 to 0.8 wt.% and the sum of S and P in 0.03 wt.% or less and Fe for the rest havingδferrite amount in 10 to 35wt.%.
