PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interfacial method for producing a polycarbonate, by which the polycarbonate having a stable quality can be produced. SOLUTION: This method for producing the polycarbonate, comprising continuously supplying an alkali aqueous solution of a bisphenol compound, phosgene, and an organic solvent to an oligomer reactor to produce the chloroformate group-having polycarbonate oligomer, introducing the oligomer-containing mixture solution into a separator connected to the oligomer reactor through a piping to separate the mixture solution into the aqueous phase and the oligomer-containing organic phase, and then introducing the oligomer-containing organic phase and an alkali aqueous solution of the bisphenol compound into a condensation reactor to perform the condensation reaction, is characterized in that the difference between the inner pressure of a piping close to the exit of the oligomer reactor and the inner pressure of the piping close to the entrance of the separator is≤0.05 MPa.
