PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a magnetic garnet single crystal membrane wherein the magnetic garnet single crystal membrane with little crystal defects is grown by a liquid-phase epitaxial method at a low cost. SOLUTION: A raw material is charged into a crucible and melted at a specified temperature to form a melt. In repeatedly growing a plurality of magnetic garnet single crystal membranes by using the melt by a liquid-phase epitaxial method, the growth of the second magnetic garnet single crystal membrane is started without lowering the temperature of the melt to lower than that at the end of growth of the first magnetic garnet single crystal membrane.
