<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibody capable of specifically assaying neuropeptide W (NPW) with good sensitivity, to provide a method for detecting/assaying the NPW using the antibody, to provide a pharmaceutical given and to provide a diagnostic agent each by using the same. <P>SOLUTION: This antibody specifically reacts with a partial peptide on a nitrogen terminal side of the NPW or at a carbon terminal thereof. The method for detecting/assaying the NPW comprises using the antibody.
