<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe deformation preventing tool capable of shortening a squeeze cap mounting part, and to provide a pipe end processing method capable of preventing the gas leakage and the water leakage. <P>SOLUTION: This pipe deformation preventing tool 1 has a pair of movable members 2a, 2b having semi-circular arc-shaped receiving parts 22a, 22b with which at least outer peripheral faces of a plurality of kinds of pipes 10 of various bore diameters are at least partially internally kept into contact, spacer members 4a, 4b detachably held between the movable members, and a pair of bolts 3a, 3b inserted into the movable members. The pair of movable members 3a, 3b having the semi-circular arc-shaped receiving parts 22a, 22b are set around a specific position of an existing pipe 10, and an interval between the movable members 2a, 2b is adjusted in accordance with the outer diameter of the existing pipe 10 to bring at least a part of the semi-circular arc-shaped receiving parts 22a, 22b into contact with the outer peripheral face of the existing pipe 10 to constrain the pie 10, and then the existing pipe 10 is sealed and cut at a position separated therefrom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
