<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable closure which efficiently stores the connection part and its extra length between optical fibers and which protects exposed optical fibers against water and an external force at a linear connection point and a branching connection point of optical cables, for example, and to provide an optical fiber storing tray which is housed in the closure. <P>SOLUTION: In the plastic resin constituting the optical cable closure or the optical fiber storing tray, there is contained a filler which has a higher melting point than the plastic material constituting the main component of the plastic resin and which has a small absorbance or light absorption rate.
