PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for compression-molding a resin molding which prevents the defective molding of the resin molding such as a preform by making the flow of a molten resin uniform around a male mold when the male mold compression-molds a molten resin block in cooperation with a female mold and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: The projected position 8a of an extruder 2 to the female mold 4 when seen in the falling direction of the molten resin block 11 from the rim 3a of a supply port is positioned in the inclined part 8 of a tapered recession 6 constituting part of a cavity 5 formed in the female mold 4. Since the rim part 13a of the tip part 13 of the block 11 dropped into the cavity 5 first collides with the inclined part 8, even when the block 11 is going to fall in any direction, the inclination of the block 11 is prevented by the inclined part 8. Therefore, when the block 11 is compression-molded, the flow of the molten resin is made uniform around the male mold, preventing the defective molding. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
