<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allot cars to perform simultaneous response of upper and lower cars properly for landing call and car call which occur newly. <P>SOLUTION: This supervisory operation controller for a double-deck elevator has upper and lower cars which perform service simultaneously for two adjacent stories and allots upper and lower cars to respond to car call for upper and lower cars and landing call from each story. A simultaneous response call evaluation means determines whether upper and lower cars can respond to a plurality of car call and landing call simultaneously or not.
