PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig for a cage, which facilitates assembly of the cage, simplifies reinforcement arrangement work in the field, and prevents deformation or distortion of the cage, that has occurred during hanging or transportation of the cage in a conventional method. SOLUTION: The jig 10 for the cage is constructed in the following manner. Firstly a space truss is formed by rigidly arranging a first main reinforcement 1 as a vertex of an isosceles triangle, second main reinforcements 2, 2 at respective bottom side locations, and lattice reinforcements 3 at diagonal side locations, and then bearing members 7, 7 each having a width D<SB>1</SB>, are connected to the space truss so as to be orthogonal to the first main reinforcement 1 at locations outside the same. Then the jig 10 for the cage is erected (a), (b) between girders (H beams) 13, 13, at a location at which a beam is constructed, such that the second main reinforcements 2 are mounted on upper surfaces 14 of the respective girders 13. Further, upper shaft reinforcements 16, 16, lower shaft reinforcements 17, 17, and stirrups 18, 18 forming the beam are arranged and connected to each other by using the jig 10 for the cage as a guide, to thereby construct (b), (d) the beam (cage) 20.
