PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezo-electric ink jet head without a possibility that the diameter of a dot and a dot shape may vary according to a dot pattern of an image to be formed, as each driven domain or driven condition of individual piezo-electric element is not influenced by the driven condition of other plurality of surrounding driven domains or piezo-electric element. SOLUTION: A partition 1e which separates adjacent compression chambers 2 is formed in a sectional shape so that a formula (1): W<SB>1</SB>≥H is satisfied whereas W<SB>1</SB>is a width in a direction of the surface in the upper end of the surface of a substrate 1 where driven part is layered, and H is a height in a thickness direction of the substrate 1; and that a formula (2): W<SB>1</SB>≤W<SB>2</SB>is satisfied whereas W<SB>1</SB>is the above-mentioned width and W<SB>2</SB>is a width in a direction of the surface in the lower end in the bottom side of the recess of the substrate 1.
