PURPOSE: Provided is a resin composition for extrusion coating and extrusion lamination, which has excellent electrical insulation property and wear resistance, and thus is useful for protective films as packaging materials for mechanical products, electronic products, heavy products and semiconductors. CONSTITUTION: The resin composition having high insulation property and wear resistance for protective film comprises a low-density polyethylene(LDPE) resin or ethylene vinyl acetate(EVA) resin as a base resin, polymethylpentene(PMP) resin and Neuburg siliceous earth. In the resin composition, the mixing ratio of the base resin to polymethylpentene resin is 1:99-99:1 on the weight basis, and the Neuburg siliceous earth is present in an amount of 1-10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the combined weight of the base resin and PMP resin. Particularly, the LDPE resin has a melt index of 2-30 g/10 min and a density of 0.80-0.95 g/cm¬3, and the alpha-OL resin has a melt index of 2-30 g/10 min.
