<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent useless retransmission mail, and to prevent the delay of the processing execution of an instruction mail in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Even when a power source is in an OFF status, a power source control part 26 controls a power source unit 15 in each predetermined time to turn on the power source of an image forming apparatus. When the image forming device is started, the incoming confirmation of a new incoming mail is executed by a main body control part 21, and when an instruction mail is received from a host server 50 by a communicating part 23, whether or not the instantaneous execution of processing instructed by the instruction mail is possible is discriminated from the mail attributes of the instruction mail and the operating status of the image forming device.
