<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more efficient, general-purpose, and highly reliable, breaker database management method and a program for a breaker database management computer. <P>SOLUTION: Instead of the conventional database management method on breaking waves arising on the sea water surface in the offing, etc. of a coast line, this method is equipped with an imaging process for generating image data by imaging scenery including a sea surface region where breakers can arise, a soup outline extraction process for extracting, from the image data, the outline of the soup that is a region where sea water breaks from a wave crest to turn white and foamy, a soup digitization process for generating, from the outline of the soup, breaker data which are data into which the outline shape of the soup is digitized, and a breaking wave data recording process for recording the breaking wave data in a breaking-wave database.
