<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recycle processing method and a device for lithium secondary battery electrode material, in which processing can be carried out in a simpler process and in a shorter time, especially a method of recovering lithium from the positive electrode material of the lithium secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: Lithium oxide is produced by causing reductive reaction in lithium cobaltate, which is the material for the positive electrode of the lithium secondary battery, and metal lithium in lithium chloride melted salt, and settling and separating cobalt or cobalt oxide is carried out.
