PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device capable of improving the reliability of data writing when a device temperature is a low. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk device having a data writing means for writing the data received from a host in the predetermined sector of a recording medium is provided with a temperature detecting means for detecting the temperature of the device, a temperature determining means for determining whether or not the detected temperature is lower than predetermined, and a first rewriting means for rewriting data in the predetermined number of sectors from the head sector starting the writing after the data are written by the data writing means when the determined temperature is lower than predetermined.
