PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a getting in-and-out step device for a vehicle, enlarging the effective area of the whole vehicle floor, achieving the installation of an auxiliary step for getting in and out the vehicle with one movable step, and preventing a sudden operation of the movable step. SOLUTION: This getting in-and-out step device for a vehicle includes: a movable step 11 displaced between the storing state of being stored on a fixed step 16 provided on a vehicle getting in-and-out port 62 and the expanding state of being expanded to the position below the fixed step 16 outside of the vehicle; and an expanding and storing means for expanding and storing the movable step 11. The movable step 11 is once raised from the storing state of being stored on the fixed step 16 and then displaced to the expanding state of being expanded to the position below the fixed step 16 outside the vehicle when being expanded by the expanding and storing means.
