PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-based ball-point pen which is fitted with a ball-point pen tip with a rotatably held writing tip ball, which is filled with an oil-based ball-point pen ink, which makes handwriting clearer than a conventional oil-based ball-point pen, which writes well, and which prevents ink leakage. SOLUTION: This oil-based ball-point pen, wherein the ball-point pen tip with the rotatably held ball serves as a writing medium, is filled with the ink for the oil-based ball-point pen, which is composed of a dye as a coloring agent, an organic solvent, a resin and an additive, and whose viscosity at 20°C is in a range of 5,000-15,000 mPa/s. The ink for the oil-based ball-point pen contains styrene-methacrylate ester-based crosslinked ultrafine particles. The oil-based ball-point pen satisfies the relationship, 60X>Y≥35X, wherein X (mm) represents a diameter of the ball of the ball-point pen tip and wherein Y (mg) represents ink consumption per 100 m.
