PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate regulation of ejection timing at the liquid ejecting part of an ink jet printer, or the like. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector comprises a plurality of liquid ejecting parts for ejecting liquid toward a medium while moving wherein each liquid ejecting part ejects liquid toward the medium at an appropriate ejection timing and the liquid reaches a target position on the medium. In the liquid ejector, a reference liquid ejecting part among the plurality of liquid ejecting parts ejects liquid toward the medium at a reference ejection timing and other liquid ejecting parts eject liquid toward the medium at an ejection timing dependent on its liquid ejection speed, the liquid ejection speed of the reference liquid ejecting part, and the reference ejection timing.
