PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear machining device, having both working efficiency and working accuracy. SOLUTION: The rotation of a work spindle rotating motor 120 is transmitted to the work spindle 80 by first and second cylindrical gears 126, 128. The second cylindrical gear 128 includes: an intermediate shaft 136 integrated with a first gear member 138; a quill 140 integrated with a second gear member 142 and a fastening device 144, wherein the first and second gear members 138, 142 mesh with the first cylindrical gear 126, and the intermediate shaft 136 and the quill 140 are fastened in the elastically twisted state by the fastening device 144 to inhibit the relative rotation. Thus, the teeth of the first and second gear members 138, 142 are elastically to the opposite flanks of teeth of the first cylindrical gear 125 to eliminate backlash, so that necessary driving force can be obtained by a small motor 120 to rotate the work spindle at equivalent high speed and attain high working efficiency and working accuracy without vibration.
