PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool turret to which a rotating tool can be installed, having good accessibility to work, and machining a slanting hole or a plane surface on the work; and a lathe equipped with the tool turret. SOLUTION: Assuming that the tool is automatically replaced, a fixing tool installing portion 57 and one rotating tool installing portion 48 are independently provided on the turret 3. A collet chuck is provided on the rotating tool installing portion 48, thereby replacing a tool itself. On the opposite end portion of a tool spindle, an opening/closing cylinder of collet jaws is disposed. A turret housing 35 is formed by a bar portion (a T-shaped crossbar portion)61 in a radial direction supporting the tool spindle, and a stem portion (a T-shaped vertical rod portion) 49 extending in a direction intersecting the bar portion 61, so as to be a T-shape in a front view.
