PURPOSE: To provide a hydrogen generator which generates hydrogen gas at constant pressure and flow and does not require pressure-resistance and adiabatic property of a container, thereby being cost-effective and portable. CONSTITUTION: The hydrogen generator comprises a container (12) which receives an aqueous solution of chemical hydride (25), provides a closed space (43) to the outside, and includes a discharge pipe (27), and a plurality of hydrogen generation units (13,15,17,19,21,23) which is installed to be submerged under the aqueous solution of chemical hydride and generates hydrogen. The container includes a square-box shaped housing (33) which is made of synthetic resin or metal, a membrane (35) which is partially attached to the inner side of the housing and provides a floating space of hydrogen, and a porous case (37) which is located in the inner side of the membrane and supports the membrane.
