PURPOSE: An ultrasonic sensor and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve sensitivity of transmitting/receiving ultrasonic waves by integrating a vibration plate with a housing. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic sensor using a ceramic corn having piezoelectric as a vibration source includes a vibration plate(11), a housing(15), a piezoelectric ceramic(12), and rubber resin(17). The vibration plate(11) has multi-vibration modes of generating ultrasonic waves. The housing(15) is formed on the upper part of the vibration plate(11) and is coupled with the vibration plate(11). The housing(15) is cylindrical. The piezoelectric ceramic(12) is attached to the upper part of the vibration plate(11) and linked with lead wires. The piezoelectric ceramic(12) has a voltage signal applied from the bottom side of the hollow of the housing(15). The rubber resin has a step difference for preventing force above pressure of the piezoelectric ceramic(12).
