<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with a charge/discharge cycle life improved. <P>SOLUTION: In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery provided with a positive electrode 3, a negative electrode 4 containing a carbonaceous matter capable of storing and discharging lithium ion, and a nonaqueous electrolyte containing a nonaqueous solvent, the carbonaceous matter satisfies: I<SB>101</SB>/I<SB>100</SB>≤2.2. The nonaqueous solvent contains a thiram monosulfide compound expressed in chemical formula (1). The battery can be compact and of a large capacity and helps miniaturize and saves weight of electronic equipment such as a mobile communication system, notebook personal computer, palm-top personal computer, integrated video camera, portable CD (MD) player, and cordless phone, serving as a power source for them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
