<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing utensil which shows an anti-slip effect even when a mouthpiece part is grasped while maintaining the anti-slip effect on a grip part in a grasping part as originally aimed at and further, does not hinder the attaching/detaching of the mouthpiece part. <P>SOLUTION: In the writing utensil 10 with a mouthpiece 50 fitted for retaining a writing tip 45 at the apex of a barrel 20, the grasping part of the barrel 20 is covered with the resilient grip part 30 of a different quality of material from the barrel 20.
