<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magazine for recording papers which has a mechanism for judging residual quantity for judging the residual quantity of a recording paper in roll stored therein and has little possibility of deteriorating print quality. <P>SOLUTION: The mechanism for judging residual quantity has a detection member 36 equipped with an abutting part 38 to be pressed against the outer periphery of the recording paper P and an operation member 40 for holding and operating the detection member 36 at a measuring position wherein the abutting part 38 is pressed against the outer periphery of the recording paper P. In a measuring time, the residual amount of the recording paper P can be detected based on the positional relation of the operation member 40 to the recording magazine with the detection member 36 held at the measuring position. In a non-measuring time, the detection member 36 can be held at the non-measuring position wherein the abutting part 38 is separated from the outer periphery of the recording paper P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
