<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error correction method of a multicarrier signal capable of applying differential coding to the multicarrier signal in a frequency direction as well as a temporal direction so as to decrease the number of pilot signals thereby enhancing the information transmission speed and maintaining a high error correction rate without the need for attaching a redundant signal for error correction by convolution coding or the like to the multicarrier signal. <P>SOLUTION: A separately calculated likelihood is assigned to each of hard decision values combined in advance without contradiction, the likelihood assigned to each hard decision value is summed in the order of the combined hard decision values to calculate an accumulated likelihood, and the error of each of the hard decision values is automatically corrected by selecting each of the hard decision values on the basis of the calculated accumulated likelihood. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
