<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet towel preparing apparatus for preparing a wet towel used when taking refuge from a room filled with smoke without the use of electricity, tap water, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The wet towel preparing apparatus includes an apparatus body 10 having a box shape, opened at the front and upper faces, and provided with a partition plate on the inside. The front and upper faces of the apparatus body 10 are closed and a cover plate 40 attachably and detachably provided at the apparatus body forms a water housing portion 20. The front lower part of the apparatus body 10 is closed and a front door 50 openably and closably provided at the apparatus body forms a tower housing portion 30. The water housing portion 20 is housed with a PET bottle 60 and the towel housing portion 30 is housed with dry towels 70. The partition plate 11 of the apparatus body 10 has watering holes 16. A handle 28 is turned and a puncture blade body 27 makes water in the PET bottle 60 flow down onto the partition plate 11.
