PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a special compound false twist yarn giving a cloth having extremely soft feeling, good rebound resilience and bulkiness and excellent water-absorbing/quick-drying property, low air permeability and moisture-proofness. SOLUTION: The special compound false twist yarn is a sheath-core conjugated yarn is composed of a yarn group A and a yarn group B. The yarn group A is placed mainly in the sheath part, has a single fiber cross-section having two or more constricted parts and a flatness of 2-7 and is composed of a polyester containing 1.0-3.5 wt.% titanium oxide and 0.5-3.0 wt.% polymethyl methacrylate-based polymer or polystyrene-based polymer. The yarn group B is composed of a polyester containing 1.0-3.5 wt.% titanium oxide and is placed mainly in the core part.
