PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve strength and external appearance while making it thinner of a shielding member. SOLUTION: A lighting fixture equipped with a reflective plate 1 having a pair of facing sections 2 and an approximately plate-like shielding member 3 attached to the facing sections 2 has a thick section 7 and a thin section of the thickness of a member 3 so that the thickness becomes at least two kinds of thickness. According to such a structure, it is possible for the member 3 to be thinned without deteriorating the strength and the external appearance. That is, the thick section 7 does not cause excessive deterioration in strength and the problem on deformation in thinning of the member 3 is hardly caused. If the thick section 7 of the member 3 is disposed at the lowest end of the member 3, the condition of the surface of the member 3 is not varied at the intermediate part thereof, so that light distribution control is not affected. When the lighting fixture is looked up in a state of its installation, since the thick section 7 of the member 3 is visible, weight feeling is not impaired due to the thinning.
